CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
We hope you are having a wonderful summer and we are getting excited about gathering together again for the Fall Church School Program!
Church School Teacher Training Our annual Teacher Training Class this year will be on Sunday, August 28 in the Chapel at 10:15 am, following the 9:00 am service. We are looking forward to this time of reviewing the curriculum, planning the Fall calendar, and getting to know one another. If you have never taught or been involved in the Church School Ministry, this would be a wonderful time for you to join us!
Homecoming Sunday Please join us for Homecoming Sunday on September 11. There will be Morning Worship with Holy Communion at 7:45 am in the Chapel. At 10:15 am families and their children are welcome to attend the Celebration Service in the Sanctuary. (Nursery care will be provided for infants through 2 year olds.)
Following the service, please join us for the Church School Open House.
· Children and parents can visit the classrooms and meet the teachers.
· While children continue to spend a little time with their teachers, parents can join one another in Fellowship Hall for refreshments, sign up for Fall Adult Education Classes, and hear some quick announcements about upcoming Fall Church School Activities!
Church School Program Our Church School Program begins Sunday, September 18. Worship begins at 10:15 am and children are welcome to go to church school following the children’s message. Once again, we look forward to our children growing in their faith through the “Live B.I.G.” Methodist Curriculum!
Church School Registration Forms Please remember that all children should have a new registration form filled out by September 11 to attend our 2011-2012 Church School Program.
So many people already provide willing hands and hearts for the Children’s Ministry at Nichols UMC. We are really looking forward to being a part of this group and to see what our loving God has planned for all of us!
